    Our students especially enjoyed pretending to run their own grocery store. They were able to practice money counting skills with play money that almost looked like the real thing. Using the materials you sent were a favorite among them.

Please help me create a comfortable space for my special needs students to develop a love for reading! Help them to understand that they can read for pleasure and not just for academics. I want them to learn that reading can be fun, relaxing and enjoyable. Creating a space that feels like a home away from home can help them experience this. This is also a good way for agitated students who may need some quiet time away from the rest of the class, to use reading as a way of self-calming.

About my class
