Being in a public school with limited space, shared classrooms are inevitable. These resources will ensure that my students are still able to learn efficiently and that they can feel at home in my classroom. By bringing a speaker and LED lights into the room, students will gain agency while also learning in a unique learning environment. I am so fortunate to teach theatre in the auditorium, but being a new program I have nothing but basic office supplies to start the year off. This class is about embracing creativity and socio emotional growth in middle and high school students. Due to the fact that this program spans so many grades (yay to bringing the arts to as many students as possible!), the materials will allow me to bring organization that will guarantee students an individualized learning experience. The white board will allow me to present the daily learning goals, agenda, and any instructions for the class. The gaff tape will serve to organize the different sections materials from each other by color. I want to expose my students to the world of theatre through plays, character development, and design. These wonderful students will be exploring empathy and identity through the use of theatre skills.
