  • Visualizing Success

    Funded Feb 17, 2025

Thank you for donating to our classroom!

We cannot wait to use the parachute and Wikki Stix in our classroom.

These resources will help students with visual impairments participate more meaningfully in the classroom setting.

We look forward to sharing in the future how these resources impact our classroom!

    Thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. McGlone

  • Special Toys for Special Students

    Funded Nov 15, 2024

The students were overjoyed to receive the materials.

Your donation helped purchase much needed switch-activated leisure materials for our classroom.

The materials purchased serve to both teach students new skills and to help students retain learn skills.

Your assistance helped us purchase several switch-activated animals including cats, dogs, and a horse as well as, a switch. These are essential materials for a classroom of students with multiple disabilities. The students who are learning switch skills will be motivated to participate and learn new cause-and-effect skills. The students who have learned switch skills will be able to select a new material to explore during leisure time.

You made a difference in our classroom!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. McGlone

  • Sensational Tools for Sensory Seekers

    Funded Sep 23, 2021

We're excited to update you on the AMAZING ways the students are using the materials that were purchased with your support! The students are successfully using the materials to learn self-regulation strategies in the classroom setting.

Throughout the day, students are given opportunities to use the materials (e.g. glitter wands, glitter spheres) to help self-regulate. We also use the materials to practice self-regulation strategies as a class!

These materials have increased engagement and understanding of different regulation strategies that can be used in the classroom setting.

We're so thankful for your support!”

    With gratitude,

  • Communication Is an Art!

    Funded Sep 6, 2021

We're excited to update you on the AMAZING ways the students are using the materials that were purchased with your support!

The students were so excited to receive the new materials! We spent may days simply exploring the materials and learning about how we can use them. The watercolors and color diffusing paper were especially exciting as were, the collage papers with all their different colors, patterns, and textures. The students were so engaged!

We've continued to use the materials throughout our units of study to express our ideas. We've had so much fun and have learned so much expressing ourselves through art.

These materials have made such a difference and for that we're so thankful!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. McGlone
