Our kids love to read and we have collected a wide variety of books for our class library. The only problem is that our shelves are high on the wall. With a lower shelf all students can access their own reading material. Students who use a wheelchair will be safe with a sturdy tip resistant shelf. Some of our students will be able to choose a book when they are upset and use our library as a calm down space. A dedicated bookshelf will also create a classroom job for students to learn to organized and care for books.
