Reading Makes the Mind Grow Stronger!
Funded Dec 17, 2022We are truly grateful for donors like you. The generous donations helped us receive the sufficient supplies to work successfully each day. As first graders, they use paper and construction paper for activities and projects in the classroom. They love the variety of colors and the flexibility of being able to get more paper if a mistake was made. We all know we learn from our mistakes, especially in school. They are not afraid to try new things now.
I have seen them improve their writing skills as well as their creativity. This, definitely has made learning more fun throughout the day!
Thank you all!”

No Paper Airplanes: We Got Work to Do!
Funded Aug 13, 2022We are well in our second quarter of school and the supplies you all have donated for us have been so wonderful and useful! Just like the photos show, kids are using them during writing time and also during literacy centers. We are grateful that you helped start off our year with the paper and supplies we needed. In first grade we make a lot of copies of work for our students to be able to master a skill and the copy paper/chart paper is needed daily. In previous years we run out quickly and become stressed. Thank you again for your generosity and helping me give my students all they need and more to make it a successful school year.”

Funded Dec 15, 2021We have been enjoying our new materials in class!
We love our new magnetic easel because it is adjustable, and all the students are included. They can participate more during instruction. They are able to see and go along with everything I write and model for them.
We love our new headphones! The students love using them daily during our literacy center time. They can read books and most importantly listen to stories without interruptions.
You have all made a huge difference in their learning. Having accessible and useful resources are hard to find, and with these resources, I am able to provide a successful learning environment for my students!
Thank you for making my first graders very happy!”

Funded Feb 13, 2021I want to express my gratitude for your generosity towards my students and my classroom. Working virtually has been a challenge this school year. It is more of a challenge when you teach first graders that need hands-on interaction to read and write. With your donations, I was able to provide primary-lined notebooks for each one of my students. They were incredibly happy because they can now practice their writing skills specifically on primary paper. The primary-lined paper helps them write neatly and adequately at their level. They can practice this daily and I can also monitor their progress as the year goes on.
Thank you for being a part of my students' education!”

Not Now! Can't You See I'm Reading!
Funded Dec 1, 2020I want to express my gratitude for your wonderful donations towards books for my first graders. They love to read and being able to give them each their own book, has enhanced their love of reading. They are excited to read each day and are able to take their own book home to read to their families. I know that their love of reading will only increase, if they have access to books.
Thank you again for being a part of my students' education and for helping me create a safe reading environment each day!”

Funded Sep 3, 2020First, I would like to say thank you for your generosity! This school year has been a challenge with remote learning. I teach first grade and hands-on learning is needed to help them achieve their everyday goals. Being physically apart from my students has been difficult. Teaching through a computer has also been difficult. That is why this project was created. This project helped me help my students immensely!
They now have printed work they can complete while at home.
With the ink that was funded, I was able to provide two folders with printed materials for them as the school year started. They are able to follow along with me as I teach online and practice their writing skills! In first grade writing skills are crucial for their progress! With the materials provided, they won't have to worry about doing everything online through the computer. As the units of study end, I will be able to print new materials for them.
Currently, my students love being able to show me their completed work as they write or draw. I love seeing them write with confidence and progress in their learning!”

Funded Jan 22, 2019Thank you all again for your generosity and donations! Because of the wonderful donations my class was able to get a new projector! The students and I are able to see the lessons better on the white board and they are more excited to learn. The projector helps facilitate the math learning because our math program is all digital. The students are able to interact with this program and effectively learn the concepts being taught. Without this projector we would be at a loss in how to engage the students in learning. This helps me as the teacher to plan different ways to instruct in the classroom!
Thank you all!”

Help Us Explore What We Learn through Math Centers!
Funded May 8, 2018Thank you on behalf of my students and myself for the wonderful classroom supplies! They were so excited and surprised as we opened up our new learning tools! We have received new math centers, number lines, and reading center pillows to read on. My students love going to the classroom library to read, because with the pillows, they are comfortable and in their own personal space!
The math centers and number lines have brought excitement for math time! They love to take their turn in the addition and subtraction math centers. They love how much they can practice these skills while having fun! As the teacher, I can already see their improvement and dedication with these math skills!
These math centers are great to have accessible for the students all year round, as it reinforces the foundational skills they will use as their math curriculum increases in rigor!
Thank you again for making our day brighter with all your generosity!”

Funded Sep 19, 2016We have received specific classroom supplies that helped our learning! The dry erase markers and accessories have really impacted how they complete math and reading centers. They are able to write and wipe off what they learn and what they are practicing. They have access to the markers at all times and can complete what is given without the worry that there isn't enough markers for the whole class.
They love and appreciate the chart paper because they can visualize and understand the concept I am teaching when I write charts/graphs/questions on the chart paper. They love to refer back to the chart when they have doubts.
The laminating film as really made a difference in learning and how things are presented! They love that we can save the laminated items for the whole year without the worry of it ripping or getting faded. They say the laminated items make the room feel and look more inviting. They love to look at and learn from our laminated charts and more.
With these essential supplies, we will be able to display more work in the classroom and hallway. We can complete center work appropriately and efficiently! We could have fun learning every subject/topic in the near future. Thank you all again!”
