These materials will be used to enhance student learning by giving them ways to learn through play and creatively express their knowledge. The supplies will be used in all academic content areas to help integrate the arts. They will also use the rhythm sticks and egg shakers to create music to accompany a book or provide the story with sound effects or demonstrate Mathematical concepts such as patterns. The visual art materials will be used to illustrate their writing or to create self-portraits for Social Studies or to test the Science of color mixing. The writing journals will be used in all content areas as a way to document their learning. Remember Robert Fulghum's words~ "all I really needed to know I learned in Kindergarten". Learning has no limits in Kindergarten!
