Help Me Focus on Full!
Funded Mar 21, 2024My students were so grateful for the quick snacks that you donated. They were able to leave school and go into their homes and have a snack. Many of my students returned the next day stating that they ate their snacks while waiting on an adult in the home to cook dinner. The snacks were also used for students that came into school on an empty stomach. The students felt so much better after having something to eat on those "rough" mornings. I saw a drastic difference in their attentiveness in class after having one of your donated snacks AND FOR THIS I AM GRATEFUL.”

Wobble While Learning
Funded Jun 26, 2023My students have absolutely enjoyed having a "different" way of sitting. They are able to have a little movement and remain focused on the lesson at the same time. One thing that I have noticed is that they enjoy the random movement of wobbling and working at a more focused pace. They love not having to sit still and complete assignments or listen/watch the teacher give models of activities or examples. The stools give the students a sense of importance. They feel as if they have earned the privilege of sitting in alternative seats. My scholars and I are so grateful for your generosity.”

Funded Jan 6, 2023My students and I are grateful for your generous contributions. Teaching and learning takes place in the classroom and the students gain a great deal. Thanks to you guys, my students are able to practice what has been taught. They absolutely love being able to work in groups, practicing and focusing on the standards that have been taught. The workstations allow them to have a more hands on approach when putting everything that they have learned into action. I also love the fact that they are beginning to understand how important it is to give back to those in need. I shared with them just how Donors Choose works. I want them to have that same passion, as you guys, as adults. Once again, thank you so much for your generosity.”

Funded Nov 22, 2022My students are greatly enjoying the new additions to our classroom library. They absolutely love the fact that they are able to see images/illustrations in the variety of literature that resembles themselves. I also love the fact that the books are being read for pleasure. They are reading the books by choice as opposed to a classroom requirement. I have noticed that many of my students await each other's completion of particular books. I truly feel that these new reading materials in our library are helping my students gain a love for reading. Thank you so much for your greatly needed support and donations.”

Afternoon Scrumptious Snacks to Take Home!
Funded Dec 31, 2021I would like to take time out to thank you for your generous donations. Being able to send my students home with a quick snack was very impactful. Many of my parents were grateful because it allowed time for dinner/supper to be prepared without a tremendous rush on their part. It was so exciting to see them get so excited about receiving the snacks every afternoon during dismissal. They are so thankful for your kindness that you have shown to them. They wanted me to inform you that the snacks were great and really "hit the spot". Your generosity has definitely been impactful this year. Once again, thank you!”

Funded Dec 22, 2021My students have been thoroughly enjoying and gaining from the materials that you donated. They are so excited to have new, colorful, fun materials to read and discuss. As their teacher, I am ecstatic about them being to excited to read and show knowledge gained from classroom lessons.
They are able to use the materials not only as a practice, but also as a collaboration tool. This is a tremendous aide in building their social skills. Covid has not allowed many of our children to collaborate and enjoy fun times with each other. When the opportunity arises and they are able to work in small groups or pairs we definitely take advantage of it. Through your generosity, my students have their own materials within the groups. This allows them to have their own personal space (social distancing) and continue to work with their peers.
Witnessing this group work and knowing that they are gaining academically and socially is a HUGE success that would not take place without your generosity. We are grateful for your donations.”

Funded Dec 19, 2021My students are super excited to have all of the new literacy stations in the class. They are now able to read a variety of genres that they find interesting. I am so elated when I see them having the opportunity to CHOOSE literacy that they actually want to read and enjoy.
I am beginning to not only see their interest in read increase, but their fluency is tremendously improving. We all know that after (and currently) dealing with Covid our children have a bit of learning loss. Their fluency plays a huge part in comprehension in reading. I know the literacy stations will have a significant impact on their learning.”

Funded Sep 13, 2021My students are throughly enjoying their new "zone" in the classroom. They are able to relax while completing educational activities. Being able to sit, lay back and relax while completing workstations gives them a new outlook on their education. They have a sense of relaxation thanks to the new seats and fun workstations in the class. They now have an excitement about workstation time. Knowing that an education takes place in various places and is not limited to a desk and chair has totally altered my students perception. WE are grateful for you pouring into our classroom.”
