  • Sensory Play: Learning Through Play

    Funded Mar 13, 2022

Thank you for furnishing our sensory play. The students will be able to experience productive play through sand and through music. The impact this will have on them is monumental. Thank you once again for truly making a major impact on the lives of the little ones in my classroom.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Davis

  • Sand Exploration

    Funded Sep 5, 2021

Thank you so much for funding our sand exploration project. Because of your generous donation, the students will experience playing in the sand, using their creativity to build wonderful masterpieces, exploring their tactile sensors, and demonstrating and applying concepts that they are learning. I can envision the joy on their faces and I am forever grateful.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Davis

I am requesting sand for the opportunity to explore, develop their fine motor skills, and their tactile senses. Students will be able to build and create using sand. The sand will allow them to use their tactile senses, learn about textures, develop and strengthen their fine motor skills, as well as their hand-eye coordination. Research has shown that children learn through play. Playing in the sand will increase their vocabulary, math skills, as well as their social skills. The students will be able to carry on conversations with other students who is playing in the sand. This will be an added benefit for those students who are English language learners.
