Update the Nonfiction Section of our School Library!

Thank you for the great impact you have had on the Madison Elementary School Library. My students are so excited about the new nonfiction titles. I displayed them on the bookshelves as soon as they arrived at school. You should have seen the students faces as they lit up with excitement. Many students made comments that "they had never seen a car book that big before and were so excited to take it home to read."

There is an increased demand for nonfiction thanks to your support with these new titles, especially with the cooking books. I can't keep those books in the library. My students love to check-out the cookbooks which shows me their interest in learning how to make snacks, desserts, or just eat delicious food. I love that the new nonfiction books have sparked my students creativity in the kitchen. I told them that if they tried new recipes from the cookbooks, and if they were "four star" they needed to let Ms. Korman know.

I look forward to using many of my new biographies during Black History Month and Women's History Month. Thank you to many donors who helped to fund the Nonfiction Section Project. It has helped to bring new life to the nonfiction section and a renewed excitement for my students in checking-out nonfiction books.”
