My students will be able to take a break in a space designated for SEL, it will have strategies for when they are dealing with different emotions and what they can do. They will be given this time as needed to transition back into the group and the next activity/lesson. Students will be returning this year with all types of trauma, so I want to create a separate space for them to go because they may not want to share openly or for my non-verbal students it's hard for them to share their feelings.
