From Chaos to Calm
Funded Apr 3, 2023My students absolutely love getting to utilize the headphones that were donated with their iPads in the classroom. They get to listen to books, hear academic-based songs, and have a full experience with learning games through sound. Additionally, these headphones have assisted the classroom environment by keeping it calm during workshop time when iPads are being utilized. This is allowed for a more focused small group setting. Previously, the students would get distracted by all of the overstimulating sounds that they would hear.
The backpack rack has been another amazing resource in our classroom! We placed student pictures onto the rack for easy identification, and the students get so excited to see their personal storage unit. They look forward to getting to use it as a part of their morning and end of day routine!
With a current change of seasons, students will be utilizing these new resources to learn about farming and agriculture! They are so excited to read the new books.”

Funded Nov 10, 2021The different materials ordered varied from classroom organization to books and center supplies. The drawer organizer has made it so much easier to keep all the fun weekly activities in one spot! The students have also been loving the new addition to their circle time and centers! The Circle Time Center has been a great addition for us to use for our date and weather during center time, our transition to rhyme time, our weekly review of letter/number/shape/color, and even the gum-ball aspect for math! The students are always so engaged and wanting to help use the different manipulatives.
Centers have also been a blast with the foam letters to use, the the Alphabet locks, and write and wipe pockets for name practice.
When I brought the materials into the classroom the students were in awe. They were asking where we got all these cool new objects from and who gave them to us! I was excited to share that there were people outside of school who believed in their education and donated all of the amazing new gadgets to our class.
Now that we have plenty of the basics for the classroom, I would love to upgrade the students current toys and kitchen area. We participate in Literacy and Math centers everyday, learning life skills in the dramatic play area, gross and fine motor skills with indoor and outdoor play, etc. Most of their items are worn down or missing pieces and I would be ecstatic if I could bring a more enhanced experience to their classroom.”
