Like most middle schoolers, my students have a lot of energy and while it can be a challenge for anyone to sit still for 6 straight hours, it's especially tough on 12-year-olds. We know sitting still for hours on end hinders learning and movement promotes focus. These under-the-desk bike pedalers will allow students a way to discharge their extra energy so they can stay focused and engaged with learning--plus get a bit of healthy exercise in as a bonus. I've seen these work wonders in other classroom and I'm excited to use them in my own.
