My students need to be exposed to objects that help them develop their fine motor skills. These tactile resources are very important in Pre-K, as we use them daily. Many of my students come to me not knowing how to hold a pencil correctly. With the practice of putting LEGO pieces together, they are strengthening their problem solving skills as their fingers manipulate the blocks. It will also help students in social skills by learning to interact with each other. While using the magnetic tiles students will be engaged in playing and practicing their grip which will in turn improve their fine motor skills.
