  • Math Is Ear- Resistible

    Funded Oct 25, 2021

Thanks for fully funding our project. We truly appreciate your generosity! With your help, all of my 7th grade students are proud owners of their very own pair of earbuds.

In math class, we use blended learnings: the combination of traditional teaching and interactive online learning. Most of the online programs we use explain skills and show educational videos. Therefore, it is crucial that every student has a pair of headphones they can use.

Thanks to you , my 7th grade students have their own headphones to hear clues and directions given to help solve word problems while using educational online programs. I am ecstatic that students can finally work independently on skills that they are struggling with and be able to follow along with the online tutorials. I am proud to say that now my 7th graders have the same opportunity to use their own pair of headphones to enjoy their online experience even more.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Jackson

The 7th grade scholars would like to thank you for fully funding our project. We truly appreciate your generosity! With your help, all of my seventh grade students are able to have access to their own Calculator during their math lesson.

In math class, we use calculators often to solve various types of math problems. These are problems that are assessed on the end of year state assessment. Having access to their own calculator allows my scholars to practice On the math scale without having to share the calculator in between problems. The class set of calculators has also created an exciting and engaging classroom environment. Their confidence level has also increased.

Thanks to you, I am even more confident that my scholars will show Mastery to on the EOY state assessment this year.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Jackson

The items chosen for this project will allow scholars to create and solve various math tasks. The calculators will allow them to compute and check rigorous problems. The dry erase grid boards will help students to be able to neatly graph points on the coordinate grid. They will also help with not having to make multiple copies daily. The dry erase boards will also help students to be more engaged in the lesson and their problem-solving. The color printer will be used to allow students to print color copies for project-based math activities.
