Thank you again for your wonderful generosity towards my classroom! We have already begun putting this much-needed technology to use. Previously, notes were taken on our whiteboard and uploaded on our google classroom. Now I am able to create notes ahead of time, use lots of images for math terms and use bright colors to highlight important vocabulary and dates of upcoming quizzes/tests. Many of my students are visual learners and this has helped them tremendously. With the IPAD I am also able to record lessons for students who are home quarantining.
Thanks to all of you who have funded this project, current, and future students will be able to benefit from an amazing classroom environment filled with materials that will facilitate their learning and provide a solid foundation for the rest of their educational careers at our school.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Fagundes

The Adult Transition Program and 9th Grade Special Education Study Skills class work together to help students build essential skills for life after high school. In the Study Skills class, students focus on organizational strategies, time management, and academic support to succeed in their coursework. In the Adult Transition Program, students with intellectual disabilities engage in hands-on learning experiences, including job training, financial literacy, and independent living skills. By managing activities like a coffee shop and preparing for future employment, students gain the confidence and tools they need for a successful transition into adulthood, post-secondary education, and employment. Your support will help empower these students to thrive in their journey toward independence.
