Thanks to your support, our adult special education students now have the opportunity to build essential cooking skills that will empower them in their daily lives and future independence.

  With these new kitchen tools, our students can practice meal preparation, learn safe food handling techniques, and gain confidence in cooking for themselves and others. These hands-on experiences not only foster independence but also teach valuable life skills such as following recipes, measuring ingredients, and working as a team in the kitchen.

  We are absolutely thrilled to share that our DonorsChoose project, Empowering Students With a T-Shirt Business Workspace, has been fully funded—thanks to your generosity! Your support has made a tremendous impact on our adult special education transition program, opening new doors for our students to explore entrepreneurship, creativity, and essential job skills.

  With the addition of a heat press, vinyl supplies, and workstations, our students now have the tools they need to design, create, and manage their own small t-shirt business. This hands-on experience teaches them not only technical skills like graphic design and production but also vital life and career skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, customer service, and financial literacy. More importantly, it boosts their confidence and independence as they prepare for future employment opportunities.

  I am thrilled to share the incredible impact your generosity has had on our adult special education transition program through the "Level Up Learning With a Nintendo Switch Gaming Center" project. Thanks to your support, our students now have an engaging and interactive way to build social skills, encourage movement, and foster a strong classroom community.

  The addition of the Nintendo Switch has created a welcoming space where students can develop teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills—all while having fun! Games like Just Dance have provided a creative and active outlet, encouraging physical movement and boosting confidence. Multiplayer games have fostered collaboration, decision-making, and friendly competition, reinforcing essential life skills in an enjoyable and motivating way.

  Many of our students are hands-on learners who thrive when given the opportunity to engage in practical, career-oriented experiences. The heat press technology has provided them with an exciting and accessible way to explore entrepreneurship while learning critical skills such as design software usage, quality control, budgeting, and customer service. This experience mirrors real-world business operations, preparing them for future employment or even their own entrepreneurial endeavors.

  One of the most exciting aspects for our students is seeing their ideas come to life. From brainstorming unique designs to executing them on t-shirts, tote bags, and other apparel, they are filled with pride and enthusiasm. The ability to create something tangible that they can wear or sell has been incredibly rewarding for them.

  Several students have particularly embraced this new technology. Cody, who initially struggled with confidence in workplace settings, has flourished as he takes on leadership roles in the production process. He is now guiding peers on how to properly use the heat press, ensuring safety and quality in each design. Danielle, who has always had an eye for fashion, is eager to expand her skills, experimenting with different fabrics and color combinations. The project has sparked new aspirations for her in the fashion industry.

  The moment our students first saw the new materials, their faces lit up with excitement and curiosity. From cozy blankets and sensory tools to art supplies that allow them to express themselves freely, each item has played a crucial role in fostering a more welcoming and supportive environment. One unforgettable moment was when a student who often struggles with anxiety wrapped themselves in a weighted blanket, took a deep breath, and said, "This makes me feel safe." It was a testament to how small gestures of warmth can have a profound impact on emotional well-being.

  With these resources, we have been engaging in various creative projects aimed at promoting mental wellness. Recently, our students completed an art therapy session where they painted their "happy places"—a reflection of where they feel most at peace. • Empowering Students Through T-Shirt Design & Business Skills

  I cannot thank you enough for supporting our students in the Passport Program by helping us bring the Silhouette Cameo 5 Plus into our classroom! Because of you, our students have been able to explore the world of t-shirt design and business ownership, learning skills that will empower them for future employment and independence.

  The excitement in the classroom was unmatched when we first unboxed the machine. Our students immediately started brainstorming creative t-shirt ideas, and within days, they were hands-on, designing and cutting their very first projects. One of the most memorable moments was seeing a student, who usually struggles with confidence, proudly hold up a shirt he designed and say, "I made this!" The sense of accomplishment and joy was priceless.

  With this new resource, our students are learning how to design graphics, operate technology, and create custom apparel—all while developing essential job skills like teamwork, problem-solving, and attention to detail. We have already started producing t-shirts for our school community, and the students are eager to expand into making shirts for special events and fundraisers.

  The next steps for our students are learning more about business operations—from taking orders to pricing products and even marketing their designs. This hands-on experience is not just a classroom project; it is preparing them for real-world opportunities in entrepreneurship and employment.

• Refresh Our Tiger Cafe with a Ninja Slushi Maker

  We are incredibly grateful for your generous support in fully funding our "Refresh Our Tiger Cafe with a Ninja Slushi Maker" project! Because of your kindness, our students in the Passport Program now have an exciting new way to develop hands-on job skills while bringing even more joy to our school community.

  Many of our students are learning the fundamentals of running a small business, and the addition of the Ninja Slushi Maker has given them a new and engaging way to expand their skills. This technology has transformed our Tiger Cafe into a more dynamic, real-world learning environment from taking orders and measuring ingredients to managing timing and consistency. It's helping students understand the importance of customer service, responsibility, and teamwork in a way that traditional instruction simply can't.

  The most exciting part? The slushies themselves! Students love experimenting with different flavors, perfecting their blending techniques, and seeing their classmates enjoy the final product. The machine has made the cafe even more popular, increasing demand and giving students more opportunities to practice their skills in a fast-paced setting.
