Funded Aug 25, 2022I would like to start by expressing how important donations like yours are to teachers and students, especially those working within very tight budget constraints, or rather no budget. Arts funding is continually cut, although the importance of arts programs in public education is undeniable. You are helping fill the gap of what our schools no longer provide.
These supplies have been the center of my classroom room every day since they arrived. We have made collages, drawings, paintings, portraits, landscapes, architectural drawings, artist books, etc. We have learned about important artists, poetry, social issues, and history, connecting the content using these materials. We have shown our work in our hallways and in our community.
My students love to make art and you have given them the tools to do so. I can see the progress made because of your kind donations and assure you that you have done something truly good. Something small can turn out to make a huge difference for kids. At the moment it may have seemed like a small donation, but these experiences are bigger than markers and colored pencils. My students are recognizing their talents and discovering the beauty in studying art."”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Kinsey
