  • Monologues: Let Every Voice Be Heard

    Funded Aug 29, 2021

Thank you for everything you have done! My students are thriving due to the items we were able to receive from your generosity. It is empowering to see these scholars shine in their journey through literature. Scholars have developed wonderful skills that will be essential to their success on the EOC.

Currently scholars are reading fences and they have worked diligently with characterization and setting. I have always said that literature is history and while reading Fences we have been able to understand our central character better because we are able to understand the historical context.

Students are enjoying all the items and opportunities that they have had to showcase their learning. Again, thank you for everything you have done. It is a wonderful sight to see for me as a teacher. The kids and I cannot express our appreciation.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Moseley

    Funded Feb 10, 2022

Thank you for ALL YOU DO! I appreciate you all more than you could know. It is essential that our students continue to learn and read. When we read books we tap into history which is why it is so important to give kids books to read that help them reflect and build conversations that develop well rounded individuals.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Moseley

"That is part of the beauty of all literature. You discover that your longings are universal longings, that you're not lonely and isolated from anyone" (F. Scott Fitzgerald). As one can see, literature is powerful. It brings thoughts and ideas to the surface. It sparks conversations and encourages student voice. The materials selected give scholars the opportunity to develop their own character. It gives them a chance to discover and pose questions about the world that we live in. By providing a collection of novels to learners, they will have the opportunity to grow as scholars academically, emotionally, and socially. For I truly believe that the more you read the better you write, the more you write the better you read. Let's give our scholars the opportunity to read a plethora of novels that will only encourage our readers to speak, read, and learn continuously.
