  • Alphabet Sounds Teaching Tubs

    Funded Apr 8, 2022

Thank you so much for your donations! My preschool students are very excited to explore the Alphabet Sounds Teaching Tubs. They are learning to identify letters-sound correspondences and this activity provides a great opportunity for their learning in a fun and easy way. The kids will also recognize objects whose names have the same beginning sounds and it will definitely increase their vocabulary. In our preschool class we are forever grateful to all the donors for being so thoughtful. My students are already enjoying these engaging activities.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Lozano

  • Learning in a Fun Way!

    Funded Apr 8, 2022

Hands-on learning activities and games stimulate the growth of the brain. My preschool students are grateful for you thoughtful donations. The Magic boards, Mad matter, Number bubbles and Construct a letter materials will continue to provide excellent opportunities to develop their creativity by using their imagination, listening, speaking, touching and using their senses to explore the donated materials. All these activities will allow our young children to interact and learn in a fun way. Thank you all for your donations!

    Sincerely,

    Ms. Lozano

  • Build a Business Financial Literacy Kit!

    Funded Sep 6, 2021

Thank you all for your donations to my project Literacy Grocery store. It has been extremely difficult finding resources for my students. This donation made it possible for me to introduce different concepts in a new light to my students.

I have been using these materials in different ways. I first introduced them by teaching them about vegetables and fruits. They were able to see pictures and touch the vegetables and fruits real and fake. This really helped them understand the concepts that I was teaching. I also was able to introduce the concept of money and the students really enjoyed being able to buy goods with the money and the cash registers that were provided.”

This play set will help make a difference in our students development because it will give the students an opportunity to develop physical and motor skills, and critical thinking. By giving them this opportunity their language and social skills will drastically see an improvement due to their limited communication skills after the year and a half of having limited human contact due to the pandemic. Creativity and role playing provided by this play structure will be the way that they gain all of the other skills by learning from each other. Many of them come from low socioeconomic backgrounds and do not have a safe place to explore their fun side in a safe way.
