  • Rekenreks for Growing Math Minds

    While this donation was not able to be used for rekenreks as it was designed, the materials we were able to purchase with this donation have been so beneficial to our learning!

    We were able to buy additional chair bags for our guided reading and guided math centers and whiteboards that are lined for these centers. Guided reading and math are very important elements of our day, and these additional materials make our transitions smooth and maximize our time for learning! The lined whiteboards allow for specific practice on letter and number writing as well as sentence building! Thank you again for your donation to our classroom!”

  • Organized Chair Bags for Optimized Learning

    Thank you so much for your donation! Our class has been able to be so much more productive with your donation of chair bags! The kids had never seen them before, and we're excited to find out how all of their things would be safely stored in their chair bags!

    Every day, the students use their chair bags to keep their morning journals, whiteboards, take-home folders, and math bags! We are now able to spend so much more time learning and working together instead of taking time gathering materials from many different places! Our favorite part about the chair bags is how sturdy they are and their ability to give us our own space in the classroom!

  • Whiteboards to Help Create Strong Writers

    Thank you so much for your donations! The students were thrilled when they saw their new whiteboards on their desks and immediately began to create on both the blank and lined sides of the whiteboards! We use these whiteboards every day for activities like CVC word building, alphabet practice, number practice, and guided reading and writing!

    One activity our students love to use their whiteboards for is a quick game called show me! One student tells a number or letter and asks the other student to show me! Then they flip their boards to reveal the answer. Without your donation, opportunities to have fun while learning wouldn't have been possible!”

Because our class desks do not have built-in storage spaces, my students have to travel around the room to gather different materials for lessons including whiteboards, folders, and math textbooks. While this teaches my students to be independent, it also takes time away from our lessons to deal with gathering and cleaning up basic school materials. With these chair bags, our class will be able to spend more time learning and applying our new skills! Please help us optimize our learning opportunities in Kindergarten by donating to help us organize our space!
