I want my students to love learning. Students learn in unique and different ways. My hope is that by growing our school's makerspace students will build their creativity through a variety of hands on activities. The items that I choose lend themselves to a variety of ways to learn. They can work independently or collaborate as a group. The students will be able to problem solve and think of an infinite number of ways to create new products. I love that the items I chose for the makerspace can be used for years to come and can be added to. Libraries are known as the hub of learning and our school's makerspace adds depth to that truth. I want my students to find joy in learning. Students might feel like they are just playing but in truth they are learning to use their minds to problem solve, think outside the box, collaborate through team work and so much more.
