As educators, we know students cannot learn unless they feel safe and respected in the classroom. Students deserve a classroom environment that is warm and welcoming, where they are undoubtedly valued as individuals. Students need to feel that their classroom is a home to them. Significant learning requires a significant investment in an environment that is inclusive and stimulates the desire to learn. By helping fund flexible seating, classroom decor, and more accessible modalities of learning, you would be helping to create an inclusive and welcoming classroom for all students, thus helping me achieve equitable education for all my students.
