All Purpose Mobile Learning
Funded Sep 20, 2022Thank you so much for your support the whole way. We love the mobile learning cart. My scholars love it! We use it as a collaborative space for my scholars to work independently or in groups of 2-3. The best thing about the learning cart is that it's mobile. My scholars would start at one part of the room, then make choices to move around the room with the mobile cart to a different spot that supports their focus better. The bottom crate is being used as an extra supply storage where my students have complete access and autonomy to the materials they need to learn.
Thank you again so much!!!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Liu
This classroom project was brought to life by The DonorsChoose Community and 6 other donors.Rewards and Fidgets
Funded Feb 5, 2022Thank you X a billion for your support!!!! Thanks you so much for contributing to my first Donor's Choice project for Rewards and Fidgets. Both the rewards and fidgets were such a hit in the classroom.
My students were really hype when they saw the new stickers filling up our whole sticker wall. There was a noticeable difference because our sticker wall was really lacking. They immediately started telling their friends which ones they wanted and where they were going to stick it on their Chromebooks. There was something there for everyone from anime stickers, animals, nature, Pride stickers and much much more. I had one student who would remind me each week to set aside time to allow them to exchange their "bones" for the stickers.
To be completely honest, this year was rough. Both myself and my students were feeling a lot of big and overwhelming emotions, especially towards the end of the year. With the fidgets we were able to create a "calm down" box. This box was placed in the corner of the room accessible to students. Whenever they were feeling overwhelmed they were allowed to pick something from the box to sign out as long as they returned it before the end of the period. Definitely a learning curve, as we were setting up expectations along the way.
I still have so many more stickers which I will continue using with my group of scholars for the 2022-2023 school year. As for the fidgets, we did lose some however we still have enough to help kickstart our sensory box for the new school year. Once again, my middle school scholars and I are extremely grateful for your contribution to our classroom!!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Liu
