Imagine what it would be like to feel assaulted or overwhelmed by the smallest bit of stimulation. Or, inundated with the inability to recognize extreme sensations or changes in your environment. This is how some of our students feel. Unexpected behaviors often come with sensory issues; which can be incredibly difficult on students and the classroom environment. Once we understand why these behaviors are occurring, we can give students the tools they need to overcome these barriers. With your help, I can purchase items such as, fidget tools, seat adapters and sensory calming timers for these deserving kiddos. It's imperative they feel comfortable, so they can thrive in the classroom.
