My students begin their day getting to select a STEM bin of their choice to build from their imagination or follow a project pattern. They work with peers to build structures and problem solve how to create their design goal. They enjoy using items such as magnets, legos, connecting sticks, etc. This morning activity provides them the opportunity to improve their teamwork skills while they have to share, show kindness to their project partners, communicate effectively, and practice patience. Our classroom is in need of several more STEM bin options so that all students have adequate access to STEM materials.
