My students do not have everything they need at home. I want them to come into my classroom every day and have what they need to succeed. Most importantly to me, is helping them learn to love reading. Having a diverse library will give them choices of what they want to read. I also want my students to be able to see themselves in literature and make those important text-to-self connections. Lastly, they are in desperate need of a way to organize books they choose to independently read in the classroom.

About my class
