Funded Mar 1, 2025Thank you so much for bringing the joy in education! When we meet students where they are at, it can encourage them to really challenge themselves. Sure when compared to other students, some may feel behind. But that is not what I am here for. I am here to help them grow from wherever they are at. Growth. So thank you!”

Funded Sep 23, 2024Thank you for making our world and communities brighter. I'm so excited to see how the students react to the new games and see friendships ignite and bloom because of your donations. The classroom can stay organized and be safe space where students can learn and trust themselves in their learning and personal growth journey.”

Funded Sep 2, 2021Thank you so much donors for your generosity! Each item truly makes the classroom feel like home. The charging station, which students use every period and every day, has been a huge game changer in ways I never would have imagined. The quietest of students will come in during lunch and after school to charge their phone. For the couple of minutes that they are here, I get to connect with them and see them as individuals who are really sweet and actually aren't as shy or quiet as I thought! I get to meet their friends and learn about their hobbies and families.
Another coveted item that makes the classroom feel more like home is our iRobot, whom we have named as Wall-E. The cleanliness of the classroom really makes a difference. But also the microwave! They come in after school to microwave their Grab N Go snacks and leave with a happy dance because their food is warmed up. I have had a couple microwave their lunches they brought from home (since the school lunch here doesn't have the best reviews). "I can now concentrate in my next class because I won't be hungry now, Ms." The markers were great for students to make posters when we were learning how to solve for systems of equations. They also use it to color their mindfulness mandalas when they feel stressed out.
Each item that was purchased for classroom management has given me such great relief as a rookie teacher- the kitchen timer, especially. It provides routine and structure to ensure that we are using every minute for learning or community building effectively and meaningfully. Immense gratitude for generosity and your positive impact.”
