Health and Happiness Closet
Funded Sep 20, 2022The students at the Center of Innovation are grateful for the donations to supply our Health & Happiness closet. From stress reliever toys to personal hygiene products, our students have benefited from your donations in so many ways. Because of your support, we are able to offer much-needed personal items to our students. Each time they receive an item from the closet, they feel cared for on a personal level. Rather than stressing about needing deodorant or clean socks, we can meet their personal needs so they are ready to learn in the classroom. Thanks again for your support. It has made a difference in the lives of students on this campus!”

Funded Aug 9, 2022The feminine hygiene supplies for our campus have helped our girls feel more confident about asking for what they need. Because they know we have an abundance of supplies, they feel comfortable asking for liners, pads, and tampons without guilt or shame. They know exactly where to go or who to ask for supplies, so it no longer becomes another issue for them to figure out. Instead, they get exactly what they need and can quickly return to the learning environment.
When they first see the closet of supplies, they know we care about them. They can see that we're providing these basics for them so they can focus on their education, and I believe that makes them a little more ready for learning in the classroom. As our supplies dwindle, I hope to create more projects so we can always meet these very basic needs.”

Funded Aug 31, 2021Because of your generous donations, my students were able to participate in a service project. They were thrilled to learn that we had all of the supplies needed to move forward with the project. We offered several student-created designs to be printed on clothing that was brought in by others in our student body. So far, we have raised over $100 to be donated to the Humane Society of Pulaski County. Because we have plenty of supplies, we will continue screenprinting shirts next semester for school clubs and other small groups that inquire. All of the money raised this school year through screenprinting will be donated to HSPC. Not only did your donations help my students get started on this project, but this project will lead to money being raised for the Humane Society of Pulaski County, making this the project that keeps on giving!”
