I teach second grade at an International Baccalaureate school in San Diego, California. My second graders are inspiring young people who care about the world and each other. They constantly inspire me to not only become a better teacher but also a better person in this world. Our school has almost 500 students. It is a Title I school, which means a percentage of our students are considered to be from low income families. Budget cuts have decreased the number of resources available to students in the classroom.
