New Name, New Materials
Funded Aug 15, 2024Thank you so much for the flexible seating stools. My students love being able to use them when we are working in a small group at the kidney table or when they are working in a small group at the library center. The stools allow my students to "travel" to other classrooms and not have to worry if there is enough seating for them. Just last week we had to travel to another teacher's classroom to view a special guest presentation and the stools came in handy!
Providing my students with proper hygiene equipment, such as the tissues and wipes, has been amazing. The students feel safe and comfortable returning back to the classroom. When I told them they could use the wipes to disinfect their desk, the students were so grateful. They look forward to cleaning their desk on a regular. The tissues have also been a big hit. Not only are we combating the germs with disinfectant wipes, we are also staying clean by using the tissues. Since returning back from school, means the kids are exposed to all the germs. This means the runny nose and the sniffles. The tissues have gone through good use, already using two boxes!
To keep the germs at bay, the dry-erase board slips, markers, and erasers have been fantastic. Not only for sanitary reasons but for also instilling ownership over the objects. In math when finding the measure of center for data, the students find ownership in using their own board equipment. It also reduces the risk of sharing germs. The students are so excited to use their personalized boards for math.”

Funded Apr 7, 2022Thank you for your donation! Your donation has helped my class out with the needs that the students needed. My students love playing on the Osmo kit on the tablet. When I first pulled out the tablet and the games, the students were so excited. They could not stop admiring the tablet. They were so excited to test out all of the different Osmo kit games that they could play with at their desk or in a group.
The different types of games allow my students to learn while having fun. The students are building their basic skills by using the tiles to pop the number bubbles through solving game-based math equations. I really love that the students are strengthening their spelling and vocabulary with the images based on their skill level.
My whole class thanks you for your contribution for the materials to improve the classroom.”

Funded Sep 9, 2021Thank you for your donation! Your donation has helped my class out with the needs that the students needed. My students love the carpet. When I first rolled it out and put it in my library the students were so excited. They could not stop admiring the carpet and pointing out the different states. While learning North America, the students were able to point to major landmarks. This helped the students remember where the landmarks of North America were when it was test time. The alphabet along the rim of the carpet is a fantastic way for the students to sit while maintaining a social distance. The students love coming to the carpet with it is our station time, their favorite is when they can play learning games or the other games such as the Uno and Connect 4 that were also given.
The students also appreciate the charts that were given. To help build their confidence, the students would look at the charts displayed around the room. For the unit on multiplication, we focused a lot on breaking down the relationships between the two factors. The multiplication chart really allowed the students to visualize how each factor can impact a product.
The Expo markers were a big hit for my small group. The students were originally doing their work with pencils. When the Expo markers were brought out the students faces lit up. They were so excited to have options to choose from. It also helps with covid safety by making sure each student in my small group has "their own marker" based on the different colors in the pack.
My whole class thanks you for your contribution for the materials to improve the classroom.”
