The materials I will buy with the TPT gift card will help fund self-advocacy activities so my students can practice skills and take them into the real world. I will be using the materials in person at school and observing my students during class to see if they are using the skills taught. I grew as a child with Hearing loss in a mainstreamed classroom and I know the challenges my students face or will face when it comes to learning. Self-advocacy is a VERY important tool for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students to navigate a world that is against them. I want to provide my students with the best teaching possibly so they will thrive!
