  • Ready to Read Library!

    Thank you so much for your donation to our classroom. Everyone was so excited to visit our classroom library when they saw the new furniture! The library has become an integral part of our classroom. The book stand has allowed me to create a display that draws students eyes to the library with hardcover books that capture their attention.

    The couch has really brought the whole space together and created a cozy environment for reading. Students love the library so much that we are constantly taking turns and setting a time limit. The material of the couch allows us to safely do this while following covid safety precautions since it can be easily sanitized.

    Thanks again for allowing students to have a safe space where they can grow their love of reading.”

When I walked into my first classroom, I realized I was missing this crucial component to my class layout. This project will help me support students’ language and literacy development, by allowing me to set up a warm library in my classroom. The comfy couch will encourage students to come sit down in the library, and also help me maintain COVID-19 safety by being a wipeable surface. The book display will allow me to showcase books that will capture students’ attention. These two items will help me create a literacy rich environment, that will motivate students to explore books and get them in the habit of loving reading.

About my class
