I do not have the words to express my gratitude for your support for my project. We try to offer as many opportunities to our students as we can, and your support makes it possible for us to continue to do this. The supplies that you are providing for my students will allow us to create a comfortable and productive learning environment that will help the students now and in the future. Times right now our tough, there will be a lot of challenges this year but with your support, we can put our best foot forward and start the year off right!”

NYC classrooms are filled with a large number of students each year (32 at most). The classroom sizes are limited, and my class is filled with diverse learners of all different needs. Many students can not function or thrive in large group settings. My co-teacher and I find that our students can focus and understand content more effectively when they are learning in small groups. We would be ecstatic if we could have a table in our classroom where we can teach specific students in smaller groups. Math instruction would work best here. We can teach the lessons at this table in a separate part of the room, giving the students a quiet comfortable space to learn.
