  • Flexible Seating to Encourage Comfy Reading & Learning

    Thank you for your thoughtful donation. My students have been enjoying the new flexible seating options. They love to use them during reading fluency and independent work. The students are always willing to grab a clipboard and work on a comfortable flexible seating option around the classroom. One student in particular has had a big improvement in classroom participation and completing work in a timely manner since having the option to complete it in various places around the classroom in a comfy spot.

  • Help supply my students with books

    Funded Nov 30, 2021

    I cannot thank you enough for helping to supply my students with new books and Legos to keep them engaged during STEM learning activities and indoor recess. During indoor recess, the Legos center is their favorite activity. It gives the students a chance to explore their creativity while staying engaged.

    The books donated to my classroom provide my students with an opportunity to read in their free time. They love the 'shop' in the classroom library for their favorite books. They are always excited when new books get added to the library.

    After state testing in May, we are going to start our class reading of Charlotte's Web. The students are very excited to begin reading this together as a class.

Last year, I personally supplied my students with 8 books to keep as their own. These students were thrilled to have a book to call their own. Many of them do not have many of their own books at home. I think reading is an essential part of learning. This year, I hope to supply my student with many more of their own personal books.

About my class
