These books will help students learn about men and women from diverse backgrounds who have made a positive impact in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. The books in this list include women and people of color who model the perseverance that my students demonstrate each day in the math classroom. With these new books, my students will have the opportunity to explore some of the possibilities of what they can accomplish as they pursue their interest in STEM. This addition to our classroom will also support literacy across content areas of the curriculum.
