These books will be used with individuals and small groups of students to promote critical thinking and to practice viewing perspectives through multiple lenses. We will use them as guides to develop conversation and thoughtful debate. Kids will take a deep dive into these literary pieces, comparing and contrasting them, analyzing characters, determining importance, and synthesizing thinking as they go. Gifted students and high achievers are often overlooked due to educational resource and time constraints in the classroom. My job is to ensure their academic needs are being met in rigorous and meaningful ways.
