In 8th Grade science, we learn about how viruses and bacteria affect the human body. Being able to collect bacteria from the world around them and watch it "grow" would engage students in understanding how it works! Hands on projects are one of the best ways to get gets curious and engage them in meaningful lessons. Being able to do this project would open their eyes to how much bacteria is around them and enable them to understand why it is so important to keep our school clean! Thank you! Additionally, we need a class set of headphones so students are able to conduct research about the project on their own. Most of our students do not have headphones of their own that they could bring to school to use. A class set would be very helpful for when students need to watch videos for assignments!
