The scholars were extremely excited when they found out about the donated Stem Kits. They get time during the week to build homes, make robots, and so much more. They used the models and guidelines, so they develop their reading skills and following directions skills. Then they worked in teams to collaborate and discuss their course of action. THEY LOVED IT!
Their STEM teacher had the scholars design the stem cars, then put the wheels together. The following day, they used balloons as a propulsion to race the cars to have a car race. THEY LOVED IT!

The materials I am interested in ordering for my students will be useful for their over-all development. After the past year of remote learning, children had limited opportunities. I want to provide them with the materials and space to further develop their... - fine motor skills - creativity and imagination without the fear of making a mistake - coping with frustration and learning persistence that empowers them to endure until they overcome challenges. - self-esteem when they complete a project - focus and concentration through creating projects / working on fun innovative tasks. - stimulates creativity and thinking out of the box - imagination and ingenuity lead to innovative thinking and the discovery of new ideas. In concussing, using LEGO pieces to construct objects requires various brain skills like planning, problem-solving, lateral thinking, spatial awareness, and STEM skills.
