Using tablets to draw and explain music theory allows us to use techniques that are not possible with an ordinary chalk or dry erase board. We are able to manipulate notes easily on digital “staff paper” to understand how altering them would change their quality. We can also use various music theory apps and games to learn as a class. The Apple TV, it would allow our students to interact with the tablet from anywhere in the classroom. It’s especially crucial this year to bring a sense of fun interactivity to our students that have been home for over a year, and I believe technology is the way to do it.
