My students need support that goes beyond the classroom. Their needs range from sensory support to speech and language support to physical support, which are provided by occupational, speech, and physical therapists. The alternate resources allow students with disabilities to work through their needs and be supported in the classrooms. Students need support with their speech and language skills. A voice output device allows students, both verbal and nonverbal, to access the school environment in an alternative way. It gives students the opportunity to have a voice. By helping support this grant, students will be able to use this device to participate in the classroom with other peers.
