The pandemic has made it very difficult to provide laboratory instruction in person. Most labs are done in groups, but because of the social distancing requirements this has become almost impossible. The virtual labs will be used to make sure my chemistry students are receiving adequate laboratory experiences while also being safe during the pandemic. The conservation of mass experiment is one that I have done in the past with supplies that I personally purchased. This lab helps students better visualize the concept of the Law of Conservation of Matter.
