The items listed above will go with other items in my classroom to create small Kagen kits. This year we are focusing a lot of our time on working in these Kagen groups and doing interactive group activities. This means that the kids could need a variety of things at any time when doing the activities that go alongside the Kagen method. Within these kits, there will be whiteboards, clipboards, markers, paper, scissors, erasers, and so much more that we will now be able to use on the fly!
By creating the Kagen kits I will be able to shorten the time it takes to gather the needed items and lengthen the time learning. These kits will be located at each group and will be utilized weekly if not daily!
The best part about using the Kagen structures is that I can help support the social-emotional growth of the students in my classroom by encouraging them to interact with those around them and interacting with new peers and adults.
