All students deserve a quality and strong education. The different materials requested in this project will help create a welcoming and inclusive classroom that gives all students the tools and resources to suceed. The use of a classroom library helps student build joy and excitement over reading and will teach them tools to become strong life-long learners and readers. Other materials that are requested are to help foster strong Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) Skills and provide them with tools to handle their emotions and stressful situations. SEL is a part of the curriculum we teach to students and these additional resources will help students cope with their feelings and aid in the transition back to in-person learning. We are requesting crayons and markers that provide diversity colors to represent all students. Other resources like staplers and laminators are to help in the classroom to use for materials so they can be used and to hang up student work. My students are resilient, beautiful, kind, caring, strong, and empowered. These resources will help them learn, grow, and thrive and ensure that they are seen and heard.
