  • Let’s Find Out: Scholastic Weekly Readers

    Having the Let's Find Out: Scholastic Weekly Readers has provided an engaging way to supplement our science and social studies lessons. These magazines are meaningful and relevant to my students. They also love being able to read along with their own magazine as the whiteboard displays and reads aloud the article.

    These stories lead to discussions that allow for higher order thinking. It is a great way for students to practice asking relevant questions that lead to deeper understanding. This is so important as they develop reading comprehension skills.

  • A Comfortable, Cozy Reading Nook!

    Funded Aug 10, 2022

    Thank you so much for funding the carpet and pillows for our cozy reading nook! This quickly became a favorite spot for students!! They would often gather together in a small group and choose their favorite books and read. The colorful pillows and carpet made this inviting for the kindergarteners. It really made an impact in creating a positive association with books and reading. This resource will be loved by many children over the years and will encourage children to love reading. Thank you so much for making a difference in the lives of children!”
