I hope to create a learning environment that encourages a peaceful and calm space to focus on reading. I typically light the room with lamps rather than sharp overhead lighting and create a homey space. If these materials are sponsored I will be able to easily provide flexible seating while my students explore reading in a naturally relaxing classroom. Creating a “livingroom space” takes the nervous energy out of the room and offers a peaceful place that can focus on learning new things! The kids LOVE coming to my classroom for this reason alone! I love to give my room the feel of home and comfort while providing an area for relaxation and learning!
