  • Middle School Project Based Learning.

    Project based learning is amazing. Students created their own board games, recreated a crime scene and tested the integrity of bridges. This project help students learn using Geometry, probability and statistics. Students engaged in activities way beyond their current level and were amazed with what they could do.

    The funding provided activities that engaged students and encourage to look at fields of mathematics that they were unfamiliar with. There were 7th grade students exploring Trigonometric ratios. Amazing!”

  • Learning with Flexible Seating

    Funded Sep 9, 2021

    Thank you so much for my donations that made flexible seating possible in my classroom. Flexible seating has made a big impact to my students. When students are feeling as if the are confined to their chairs, they know that they can work at the stand up desk. They also enjoy sitting on the floor using the floor chairs and the beautify lap trays. These are located near the board and they use them for small groups, skill practice and partner work. Overall, the students are more comfortable and feel like they can find their own place in the classroom while learning.”

It is has been a while since students have been in the classroom. Students have been learning in all different types of environments at home. Flexible seating is going to be important in order to get students use to being back in school. In order to make my classroom more comfortable for learning, I would like to provide them with some stand up desks, lap top desks, a laptop cart and floor seating. The stand up desks will be great for students who need to take a break from long periods of sitting. The floor seats will give students opportunities to stretch out their legs.
