  • Sensory Seating Helps Our Speech Skills!

    Funded Sep 2, 2022

My students love the sensory seating you provided. The stools and cushions have really made a difference in helping each of my students focus during their speech therapy sessions. One middle school aged student with an ADHD diagnosis asked if he could take a cushion into his middle school reading class to help him focus better. The kindergarten students appreciate the cushions for sitting on therapy chairs that are often very hard and not designed particularly for smaller bodies. Thank you all again for donating to my project.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Guilfoyle

  • Good Communication Skills are Key

    Funded Sep 23, 2021

My students have loved the materials that you have provided. The sight word fishing game has been the biggest success. They love to show how they can read the words and the fishing rod helps keep their attention during small group therapy sessions. We also have used the words to make sentences with the words which allows them to practice their IEP goals and objectives related to articulation, language and fluency skills.

We are so thankful for your generosity. Please enjoy the pictures provided. The students were also excited to pose for pictures.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Guilfoyle

These materials will help a large and diverse group of students who participate in speech therapy sessions weekly to improve their phonemic awareness skills which are key to developing later reading fluency skills. They are motivating for students who may benefit from a multisensory approach to learning. They are hands on to encourage engagement of students. They are easily sanitized between sessions and will meet Covid -19 guidelines. Each game will be utilized to provide a fun and engaging way to help students meet each of their IEP goals and objectives.
