The Power of Creativity
Funded Feb 9, 2025Can you describe pure joy? The look on the kids faces when they play with their playdoh or make their origami! Kids deserve a creative outlet in school especially in a grade that plays such high stakes with testing.
My kids are so deserving of so much and sometimes the world forgets they are kids and playing is still a way of learning. Learning through play is so valuable and necessary and thank you for providing that for my students.
Again, thank you for your generous support of the best students in all of 3rd grade!!!!”

Learning the English Language One Word at a Time!
Funded Sep 19, 2024You can't know the impact you have made on these students. Their excitement to know what was in the boxes was specifically for them was contagious! I wish I could have captured the excitement.
Thank you for all your generosity and love for my students. They are some of the greatest kids in the planet. Because of you, they are one step closer to becoming who they were meant to be in life. To have materials they can read to feel successful was so meaningful.
When you donate to donors choose, you make such a lasting impact for years to come. Thank you for giving!!!”

Funded Apr 19, 2024My supplies came just in time for the end of the year. My students were in heaven! All the writing projects they have saved and illustrated by hand or with stickers were laminated so they would have keepsakes for the year.
We go through so. many. glue. sticks! Thank you for keeping us in constant supply. We were able to use rulers to help us learn measurement right before the state test. It was so much easier since the students had a real one in their hand to practice with.
Without your support, my students have to do without. Your support mean a lot to us. Thank you for giving!”

Funded Dec 29, 2023First, I would like to thank you for your generous donation to my classroom. I strive to make the school experience equal for everyone and to make it a place where students want to come and take risks.
Your money went to further my reading and writing centers. I was able to purchase books that were engaging but on a lower level for students who struggle to read as well as some books for readers who are able to read at a higher level. I was able to furnish my writing center with a stapler that will staple multiple pages (and last!) so that students are able to put together stories as books.
I was also able to purchase a Teachers Pay Teachers gift card which serves two purposes. One, I am able to download various writing projects and reading activities and two, it pays a teacher for their time.
Thank you again for your generous donation!”

The Write Stuff
Funded May 11, 2023My students are excited every time we get a call that a package has arrived! They love seeing what each box holds and for so many of them, they don't come to school with their own supplies but must share them or use supplies that were left over from the previous year.
I think the students are most excited about the stools and writing folders. I have a writing center where they can sit on a stool and write about anything they choose. The folders are a great way to store the writing and each side contains helpful reminders about the writing process. By the writing center, I have hung the posters so students can choose which part of the writing process they are in and work toward publishing their final piece. Their final piece will be laminated and hung on the wall so other authors can read their masterpiece.
Thanks again for believing in my students.”

Funded Aug 2, 2023My class would like to thank you for your generous donation to start the year off!
My students are very special. They are so full of promise and excitement for the future. The rug offers a space to read and or do a project with a partner. It gives the students a place to take a time out and regroup if needed.
The stampers have been a wonderful addition to daily feedback. Students know what I want from them whether it is to meet with me in a group, redo the assignment or that they did a great job. Stickers are always a plus for kids to look forward to sticking on their notebooks.
The notebooks are being used for small group. They have their own notebook to record what is being learned for the day and can use it whenever I am unavailable to help them. And if you have never smelled a Mr. Sketch, you need to run to find one and you will see why kids love them.”

Mrs. Tanner
