Funded Sep 13, 2021From the moment the students saw our materials you provided to us they were beyond excited to get started making art projects. We brainstormed ideas of things we can create using the materials in our art center. We also, discussed different things we would be able to practice writing using the dry erase markers.
The students daily use the dry erase markers in the morning to practice tracing their names. Already over half of our class has perfected their first name, and is working on their last name now. Also, on Fridays we practice, as a class, writing the letter of the week. The students enjoy this because they work together on constructing the letters.
Lastly, our crayons have been sent home to assist in family involvement projects. So far we have had the students complete an "All about me" activity, disguise the pumpkin activity, and disguise the turkey activity with their family. This has helped make the parents feel more involved and the students proud of their work.”
With gratitude,
