  • Sharp Pencils for Sharp Minds!

    Funded Apr 6, 2023

Thank you for helping provide "Sharp Pencils for Sharp Minds" to my scholars. Pencils are one of the most needed things in the classroom on a daily basis, so what you've helped to contribute is no small feat.

Again, we thank you for choosing to donate to our project.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Harlan

This classroom project was brought to life by LOFT and one other donor.
  • Giant Games for Giant Brains!

    Funded Jun 9, 2022

OMG! When I tell you my students absolutely love having these giant games. Having them unpack and assemble the games was almost just as joyful as watching them play the games. So far they have only used the giant games for fun/brain breaks, but in the future, we will integrate the games in out weekly lessons and test prep activities to add a bit more excitement.

We are so thankful for your contributions to this project. Pictures and words can't express how much having these games has increased the level of engagement and teamwork for my students.

Again, thanks for all that you've done.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Harlan

  • Focused Minds and Engaged Bodies

    Funded May 4, 2022

Thank you greatly for your contributions to our class projects. My students love being able to have a variety of seating options in the classroom. Their classroom experience is like no other class in the building. Being able to use the wobble chairs helps the busy bodies focus while completing important tasks. The bistro set is a perfect spot to enjoy a good book and the office chairs complete the ELA Café, where students spend time gathering inspiration for writing assignments.

We plan on adding a few other flexible seating options in the near future. Thanks again for helping us!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Harlan

  • Eggspert Learners!

    Funded Jun 10, 2022

Thank you for taking the time to donate to this "Eggspert" project. My scholars are going to be so excited to have the opportunity to learn through quiz games. They are truly going to become ELA "Eggsperts" because of your generous donations. Again, we thank you immensely for your contributions.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Harlan

  • Basic Supplies for Extraordinary Success

    Funded Nov 20, 2021

You have no idea how impactful your donation to this project has been. Students did not have to worry about having basic school supplies available to them on a daily basis. Some students have supplies at the beginning of the school year, but by the middle of the year, all supplies have disappeared. The bags provided for them included crayons, markers, pencils, and eraser tops. Although the supplies aren't that fancy, the students are so appreciative to have them. They are able to use them whenever they need them to add color and individual style to all of their classwork and projects.

    Again, thanks for your contributions!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Harlan

  • Color Our Classwork With a Color Printer

    Funded Dec 22, 2021

We greatly thank you for your generosity. Your contributions to our project has truly added color to classroom. Having a color printer in our class has made completing assignments and projects so much more engaging.

The students are able to receive color copies of text with illustrations that allow them to get a better grasp on the content. Also, having a classroom printer helps out greatly with class projects, especially for students who don't have access to materials at home.

The students have been overjoyed to have this new technology in their classrooms!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Harlan

  • Collaborating Through Technology!

    Funded Dec 22, 2021

Due to your generous contributions to this project, we were able to purchase four tablets. The tables have been used mostly for students to access their online reading libraries before class starts and as an earlier finisher activity. They also use the tables to access Clever, which has many applications that are used daily in class.

Students who have a hard time navigating laptops find it much easier to navigate the tables, which saves time with login issues and things of that nature. Because most students are familiar with touch screen devices, working with touch screen tables gives them an extra confidence boost. They can then focus on the task at hand rather than trying to figure out how to use a keyboard and mouse pad.

Thanks again for your contribution to my students' continued success.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Harlan

This classroom project was brought to life by Michael Jordan and The Jordan Brand.
  • Activating our imaginations with Storyworks!

    Funded Sep 23, 2021

Thanks again for your contribution to our project. For those of you not familiar with Storyworks, it is both a print and online story magazine for kids. The magazines are engaging, colorful, and fun. The students really enjoy the stories which center around monthly themes and/or holidays.

In addition to the stories being fun and engaging they also are used as supplemental reading materials in our weekly reading lessons. Students learn comprehension, vocabulary, and test taking skills all while reading about subject matter that they're actually interested in.

Thanks again for activating our imaginations with Storyworks!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Harlan

This classroom project was brought to life by The Allstate Foundation and one other donor.

  • Shoo the Flu!

    Funded Mar 4, 2022

Thanks so much for contributing to our Shoo the Flu project. Your contributions will help me keep my classroom clean and as germ free as possible, allowing kids to stay healthy and at school, which is where they need and want to be! Again, a big thanks from me to you!”

    With gratitude,

I would love to be able to add 4 Amazon Fire tablets to engage my students in a multicultural, print-rich classroom right at their fingertips! I want to introduce them to the many reading resources that are available to them through apps and online, especially since access to physical books is very limited due to covid. These Amazon Fire tablets will make learning much more engaging and fun for all students! There will be no limit to the amount of content that my students will be able to access, no matter their reading levels or capabilities.
